Naiyer Imam
MD, MSc, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Naiyer Imam served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Dr. Imam is currently a medical director for Nighthawk Radiology Services and chairman of Medical Imaging Specialists, a radiology corporation in Virginia. He is also chairman of PanteQ, an international medical software corporation. Dr. Imam is well published in medical and radiological literature, having written landmark papers in AIDS research and developed pioneering software in radiology. Dr. Imam is a physician, computer scientist and businessman.
In 1998, Dr Imam co-founded HealthCite, raising 10 million dollars to develop this WebMD competitor. In 2000, Dr. Imam co-founded PanteQ Corporation, a software development company with offices in Boston and New Delhi, India. In 2002, Dr. Imam founded MedicalOasis, an imaging center corporation. He now owns a chain of imaging centers in Virginia, Nebraska and Mississippi as well as an ambulatory surgical center in Virginia. In 2003, Dr. Imam founded American Teleradiology, which grew to be one of the larger teleradiology corporations, and merged with Nighthawk Radiology Services in September of 2005. The combined company went public in February 2006 with a market cap of $600-$700 million (NASDAQ: NHWK). In 2006, Dr. Imam became an executive producer of an international film, Real Premonition.
Dr. Imam received a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science as well as a medical degree at an accelerated program from Brown University. Dr. Imam obtained a Masters of Science degree in Biostatistics at Harvard University. Dr, Imam completed his radiology training at the University of South Florida and Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Baltimore, MD.
Jason Berry
Co-Founder, Vice President of Product Development
Mr. Berry worked in Video and Film production since 1991 upon graduating from Ole Miss with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Broadcast Journalism.
He worked on numerous Hollywood productions before becoming a contract worker for the Smithsonian Institute's Human Studies Film Archives in 1996.
In 1998, Jason founded a video production company, 13th Floor Productions, which evolved into DIG - Digital Innovations Group - in 2000. With an eye on emerging streaming media technology, the company was one of the first full service "boutiques" to offer a wide range of streaming media services. Jason's passion for his work allowed the company to flourish, post-dot com boom, by working closely with DIG's clients to develop working business models for distributing their media online in a cost effective manner.
Brad Salter
Chief Operating Officer
Brad is our Chief Operating Officer overseeing domestic and global operations. He most recently served as Director of Acquisitions and Financial Analysis for Advance Auto Parts, a $4.5 Billion Fortune 500 firm.
Brad graduated with a B.S. in Commerce with a concentration in Finance and International Business from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. He also holds a MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. Brad serves on the Heart Walk Steering Committee for the American Heart Association.
Derrick Meer
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Meer is a lifelong entrepreneur and strategist holding executive level positions in publicly traded technology companies as well as consulting firms. He owned his own technology consulting group and served as primary consultant for business to business exchanges, large transportation systems, telecom infrastructure provider, and software development companies.
Meer has engaged in many different functional areas of a business organization. He specializes in rapidly developing companies and architects solutions for strategic business units by managing complex teams of engineers, application partners, and project managers that design, build and implement a vast array of solutions.
Derrick recognizes the tremendous convergence point of video and internet infrastructure and joined Media Marshal as CTO in May 2008. At Media Marshal, he will lead the development, infrastructure, and service delivery teams to present high quality video solutions to Media Marshal Network customers.
Cherie Connolly
Vice President Sales & Marketing
Cherie Connolly is overseeing the company’s direct sales and channel sales strategy, marketing, advertising and brand management. Cherie brings 14 years of high-tech industry expertise to her role, with the majority of her experience across enterprise sales, business development and sales management.
Prior to joining Media Marshal, Connolly was Vice President of Sales and Client Delivery for a boutique consulting firm. She drove new business development, sales, contract development, oversaw client engagements and service delivery.
Previously, Cherie was a Sales Director at Sprint. She oversaw strategic sales, executive level relationship building, provided consulting services, conducted extensive multi-million dollar contract negotiations, strategic business development and team management. Prior to moving into management Connolly held various sales roles within Sprint and MCI.
Cherie Connolly holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and an MA in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.
Sultan Maalik
Vice President of Administration
Sultan Maalik is an entrepreneur with diverse business experience. After attending Queens College he became a Representative with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and started selling individual as well as group Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Annuities and other financial products offered through Met Life and its affiliates. In his seven year tenure with Met Life Mr. Maalik earned various accolades and sales contests, notably qualifying for the Leaders Sales Conference Award and designation twice, as well as being an acting Branch Manager responsible for working with eight representatives and six administrative staff personnel.
Mr. Maalik was involved in various Retail and wholesale enterprises as well. He has eighteen years of experience in the retail industry and international business. Sultan was the chairman and CEO of Eupean International Inc, an international jewelry enterprise with offices in New York, India, Brazil and Portugal which focused on the purchasing, processing and manufacturing of various precious stones.
